Family Photography: Stephanie and Family

Stephanie is a friend I met out in blog land.  I knew she had been wanting to get family pictures, so I contacted her about it while I was in the area (on family vacation in Utah over the holidays).  I was so excited to get a chance to meet her in real life and meet her sweet family.

See the snow?  It was so cold!
I love this family shot.
After family pictures I got individual shots, letting everyone else warm up in the car.  The oldest had the most beautiful blue eyes.
This handsome little guy was so excited to get his picture taken with the train when it was his turn!

This little darling had a smile painted on her face the whole time.  It took a little bit of singing the Dora the Explorer theme song to get it to look a little more genuine...
And some tickling from Mom always helps bring out the real smile, too!
What a cute family!

Family Photography: Stefani and Brent

This family is amazing! Believe it or not, it was about 40 degrees outside when we took these pictures and they took their coats off!
They put their coats on in between shots to try and warm up!

This little guy was Mr. Energizer bunny! He was going, going, going! Halfway through the session he fell and got his white shirt all muddy. It didn't even phase his parents. I thought the session would be over, but nope, apparently him getting muddy is a totally normal occurence!
This princess is just too beautiful. And this little man just lit up, telling me what he wanted for Christmas (a pretend sword, Mom and Dad).Stefani and Brent are coming up on their ten year anniversary! Congrats!

Family Photography: Abra and Robert

When my Aunt Abra called me up and asked if I wanted to take her family pictures at the Portland riverfront, I was so excited! And I LOVE how the pictures turned out, there are a ton!
I have known these boys since they were born and now they tower over me!
They were very accommodating, letting me get whatever shots I wanted.
And the light was BEAUTIFUL!
It was really cold, though.
The boys came up with this idea.
We headed downtown to grab some hot chocolate at Seattle's Best Coffee to warm up and I felt like a kid at a candy store with all the amazing places to take pictures downtown!

Thanks for letting me take your pictures! I can't wait to shoot more in downtown Portland!

Family Photography: Jeana and Fernando

This family is very close to my heart. Jeana is my best friend of many years. I was so happy to get a chance to take their picture.
It was a COLD day and we were fast losing light.
Mommy and daughter.
I was grateful for a passing dog and dog walker, making the kids smile late in the session.
Thanks so much Jeana and Fernando, can't wait to take your pictures again!
